Mission
At New Life Trees, our mission is to seamlessly integrate the natural beauty of native trees into urban and commercial landscapes.
We specialise in relocating trees from forestry blocks to enhance the aesthetic appeal, ecological balance, and overall well-being of residential and commercial spaces.
Our commitment is rooted in environmental stewardship, promoting biodiversity, and creating sustainable green environments that enrich the communities we serve.
Preserve Biodiversity
By carefully selecting and relocating native trees, we contribute to the preservation of local plant species, fostering biodiversity in urban and commercial settings.
Educate and Engage
We are dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of native tree preservation and integration. Through educational programs and community engagement, we inspire a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Enhance Urban Greenery
Our goal is to transform urban landscapes into thriving green spaces, providing shade, improving air quality, and creating natural habitats within the built environment.
Promote Sustainability
Our processes prioritise sustainable practices, from tree extraction to transportation and replanting. We aim to minimise our ecological footprint while maximizing the positive impact of our projects.
Collaborate with Communities
We actively collaborate with local communities, government bodies, and landscape architects to tailor our tree relocation projects to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each location.
Mitigate Climate Impact
Through the strategic placement of trees, we aim to mitigate the impact of climate change by reducing heat islands, improving water management, and sequestering carbon.
Ensure Long-Term Viability
Our commitment extends beyond the initial relocation. We implement robust care and maintenance plans to ensure the long-term health and vitality of the transplanted trees, fostering a legacy of greenery for future generations.
About
Morgan Dutch is the founder of New Life Trees, focused on rescuing native trees from forestry blocks where they would otherwise be cut down.
With a passion for sustainability and environmental preservation, Morgan sees this as a valuable opportunity to save these trees and give them a second life through replanting.
Morgan brings a wealth of hands-on experience from a variety of fields, including orchard management, mechanical engineering, blackcurrant and beef farming, hunting and fishing.
Years ago, he successfully planted a row of 10 trees along a white picket fence to create privacy, sparking his interest in tree care and management.
With permission to manually harvest trees from private forestry blocks, New Life Trees will focus on relocating trees that are between 1.5 to 3 meters in height. This size ensures that the trees are strong enough to thrive without the need for rodent covers or protection from larger animals.
Through this endeavor, Morgan is not only preserving native trees but also creating a sustainable future by replanting them where they are needed most.
